How to Attract Financial Abundance

"The Economy Is Rigged!"
It's become a catchphrase in an election year where most Americans believe there isn't enough wealth to go around. Our story is the top 1% have all of the money and the rest of us have to fight and scrape for every penny we can get.
No wonder we have so much anxiety around money.
While I understand the frustration of those who want to blame the government, I also believe that achieving meaningful change in our life, including our finances, begins by changing our mindset.
The truth is abundance is all around us. Try going to the beach and counting the grains of sand. Or perhaps try to measure how many cups of water are in the ocean.
You can't do it. Those resources are infinite.
And the good news is we have the ability to tap into this same energy. We can attract money effortlessly when we allow ourselves to flow with the Universe.
"Dan, this sounds like some flowery, new age, bulls**t. I'm barely making ends meet and everyday feels like a struggle."
I get it. As I have travelled the uncertain world of entrepreneurship, I've felt the same fear.
But let me share the biggest, game-changing lesson I've learned.
Abundance is not a destination that we will eventually "arrive at." It has to be the starting point which we begin from.
If we want to see more abundance in the future, we have to feel abundance in the present.
If you are reading this message, it's likely that you have a roof over your head and food in your stomach. Even if you don't know where next month's rent money is coming from, you are provided for in this moment.
And as we know, the present moment is the only thing that is real.
I understand that this concept is simple, but not easy to implement. I struggled with the scarcity mindset through much of my first year as an entrepreneur. I told myself there was a certain number that I had to hit in order to feel "free."
I put off some of my larger plans to donate and give back until I hit this pie in the sky number.
Then I had an a-ha moment.
I could make a choice to simply live in the energy of financial abundance now, even if I had yet to see my long term goals manifest in physical form.
Instead of worrying about the bills, I began to give thanks as I paid each one. I began to focus on how there was enough money in the bank to pay that bill on that day. All of my needs were being met in that moment.
After that, I started to donate 10% of my income each month to Feeding America. I told myself that money is simply an energetic currency and as I chose to direct my energy towards serving the greater good, energy would flow back to me.
Within days of donating, I made five times the donated amount in new business.
The following month, I donated even more money. Days later, I was hired for a speaking engagement for a number that was bigger than my total revenue from the previous month.
And as you can imagine, 10% of that check is going right back to Feeding America as well. When I cut off my donations and begin to obsess over whether there is "enough" for me, I cut myself off from the natural flow of the Universe.
So for today, see how you can adjust your mindset from scarcity to abundance. Can you begin to give thanks for the things that bring value to your life? The roads that you didn't have to build that allow you to get where you need to go. The books that you didn't have to write that have helped you learn. The free training resources online that you access with the touch of a button?
Abundance is everywhere. You simply have to look for it.
